Matthew 18:12: “What do you think about this? A man has one hundred sheep and one of them is lost. Will he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to look for that one lost sheep?”

We have thought long and hard about this mission means to us, we have prayed over a word or a phrase that would drive us in this mission. As we started praying it became abundantly clear that the phrase in which we would be driven by is this, “For the One”. We are believing that no matter where this mission takes us or the obstacles that we will face, as long as we make an impact on one single soul, it was all worth it. The countless hours of fundraising, the preparing and leaving everything we know behind would be worth that one soul being changed for eternity.

With that being said we want to bring you along on this journey with us. The best way for you to do this is by subscribing to this blog for updates on our journey before and during the race. The second way is by prayer, we really need your prayers in this next stage of the journey. The world is in a crazy place and we really need prayer that the Lord will open doors for us on this crazy journey. The final way is by donating, no matter the amount large or small, we are so thankful for each and every one of you that have or will donate in the future.

A fundraiser that we are currently doing is we are selling T-shirts! The shirts have a very basic design and states our mission “For the One” on the front of the shirt. We really want you all to partner with us on this journey and to support our mission as well as the driving force behind the mission “For the One”. If you would like to purchase a t-shirt just send me a quick text at 253-279-4612 with your size! The cost of each shirt is $22.50!

One response to “For the One”

  1. Hey Derek, Great to meet you this morning and meet Emily’s other half! Say do you have a picture of the t-shirt you are selling? Just curious what it looks like. Thanks, Patty
